Excerpt from a work in progress.
.....We are the work. The work of Melting the Ice in the Heart
of Man Angaangaq is the work of the individual who standing at
the top of the mountain sees a way forward and loves themselves
enough to step into their truth. To love one self requires a
fearlessness that allows for the full expression of self. To love
another in the fullness of being without wanting or needing or
taking, to love another in the fullness of who they are has at its
core the unwavering love of self. To love in this way is to know
spiritual love.
August 2006
In my living room, I was the last to step
into the center. Angaangaq came very close and whispered to me,
When I first saw you, I thought you stole my heart, but you
didnt. Now, I give you my heart. If you could have anything,
anything at all for yourself, what would it be?
I say a prayer, often throughout the day, it
ends with&ldots;may I see what I need to see, may I hear what I need
to hear, may I speak what needs to be spoken. May it be always, in
the highest good.
When Angaangaq asked me that question, the
prayer came to mind, I said, May I see what I need to see,
he interrupted me, You see much with your inner eye, you are
not ready to see with the outer. What else? May I hear
what I need to hear. You hear much with your inner eye,
but you are not yet ready. What else? May I speak?
and he began to chant, breathing into his drum which he held close to
my head. The vibration of the drum carried me into another space
within. I felt his hand brush my throat. I felt a shift in my throat;
I heard his voice far away telling me, Your ability to
physically love others is enormous. It is now time for you to learn
spiritual love. Ah ho and it was done.
At the time, I did not know what he meant.
In the parking lot of Nellies Crafts, at the top of a mountain
in the Ozarks, standing in the circle, I got it. Spiritual love is
the love which exists beyond time or space. It is a love born in the
knowledge of the fullness of the human spirit. Spiritual love is not
bound by emotion, filled with expectation or driven by ego. It
is a love which recognizes at the deepest levels of awareness, the
connection of the individual soul to all souls. It is knowing that I
am you. It is seeing the incredibly powerful spirit within and
honoring it by standing in the truth of who I am. Every single one of
us is every single one of us. When we come to love ourselves in the
enormity of who we are, we see that we are everything.
On the top of the mountain, we experienced
spiritual love, a state of grace that brought us into the conscious
harmonic flow of life. In that state we see with the eyes of one.
Spiritual love dissolves fear for in the perfect composition of one,
energy flows effortlessly, abundantly and freely. Touching it, we
touched the truth of ourselves and together we mapped it in the stars.
The teachings compound, piling one
upon the other leaving no time to sort things out before another
materializes. Shift, move, let go, the same mantra is whispered from
the depths of mountain to the depths of the universe. The shift from
the linear, masculine energy to the feminine wave ignites ancient
memories. Memories of the integration of the masculine and feminine
energies are reborn within us. Anchored in that balanced place, we
are free to lean against one another, fluid, gentle and powerful.
The evolution of consciousness from
separation to unity is the essence of the new paradigm. It is the
essence of spiritual love. When I view my human experience from the
lens of one, compassion flows naturally, my words, my thought, my
actions naturally spring from love. The love of self is love for all.
In my aloneness I am all one. The circle and I are the same. We are
composition of one.
